Hindustan Unilever and Nestle India are set to release their Q4 numbers for FY25 today, April 24. With slight uptick in rural demand and the recent tax cuts announced in the recent Union Budget, investors will be keeping a close watch on the earnings.
Here are key things to watch out for
1. Dividend
Investors are eagerly anticipating the dividend announcements for these stocks. In the past, both HUL and Nestle India have given steady payouts. As per the scheduled board meetings, both the companies will be deciding a final dividend for financial year 2024-25.
2. Q3 performance
HUL reported a revenue of ₹15,818 crore in Q3FY25, up 1.6%, while net profit clocked at ₹2,984 crore, up 18.9% YoY. EBITDA soared by modest 0.8% to ₹3,695 crore, while margins slipped to 23.4% against 23.5%.
Meanwhile, Nestle India posted a net profit of ₹688 crore in Q3, up 5%. Revenue from operations soared by 4% to ₹4,779.7 crore, while domestic sales came at ₹4,566 crore, up 3.26% YoY.
3. Timing and trading window closures
Both companies are set to release their Q4 earnings today, April 24. HUL has scheduled its earnings call for 4 PM IST, while Nestle India hasn’t shared any details about the earnings call as of now. As part of regulatory compliance, the trading window has been closed for insiders. The trading window for HUL has been shut from March 16 and will reopen 48 hours after the results announcement, while Nestle India’s trading window has been closed since April 1 and will remain shut till April 26.
4. Return on shares
In the last five sessions, HUL stock has soared by 2% and has delivered a 7% return in the past month. However, in the past six months, the stock went down by 3%, while it has risen by 7% over the past year. With a market cap of ₹5.69 lakh crore, the 52-week high of the stock stood at ₹3,035 and, while the 52-week low was reported ₹2,136.
Nestle India shares gave a return of 2% in the past five trading sessions. On a monthly basis, the stock declined by 2%. In the 6-month period, the shares gained by 3%, while on a yearly basis, it has fallen by 7%. The 52-week high of the stock stands at ₹98.62, while the 52-week low is at ₹72.82.
